What can be recycled?

If you would like to recycle your packaging materials you will need to determine what is the type of material and if the material can be recycled.

Recycling Advice

The following symbols are displayed on packaging and will assist you in identifying what the material is and if it is suitable for recycling:

Please put this in a bottle bank.

Mobius Loop

This is capable of being recycled.

Logo for items that are Partialy Recycled

Mobius Loop with Percentage

This contains x% of recycled material. However, use of this symbol is voluntary. Some goods contain recycled material but do not carry this symbol. Recycled content does not mean it is necessarily better for the environment and it is often inappropriate, particularly for packaging used for food, toiletries and cosmetics.

The Green Dot Recycle Logo

Green Dot

This shows that a fee has been paid for the recovery of the packaging in some European countries. In the UK this symbol is a trademark and companies using the symbol must be registered for its use, un-registered users could face enforcement action as this would be a breach of the trade mark.

The Tidyman logo - Do not litter


Dispose of this carefully and thoughtfully. Do not litter.
